A 275/50/17 will fit on the back no problems what so ever... (that's what I'm running). A 275/50/18 may fit... but dang that's a tall tire... 28.8 inches tall compared to stock 27 inches... I had some 265/60/16s on the back that were 28.5 inches tall that fit with no problem... so I think 28.8 would probably fit too...my05toy said:I'm thinking of putting bigger tires on the rear of my '05 GT. The size I'm considering is 275/50. Anyone have that size, either in a 17 or 18" rim? If so, any rubbing problems, either by height or by width?
should be 275/40/18AdamZx3 said:I beleive when I was looking up info on tires.com or tirerack.com their calculators said a 275-45-18 tire would be very close to stock (within a 1/4" i think)
Hey John...have started looking at new tires for Dix also...didn't I remember a previous post from you (can't locate it right now) where I think you said you took those bigger rear tires off? Can't recall the reason why...I wanna stick with 16s too and go for as big a look as possible...would you recommend a different size than the 265/60s? Thanks in advance...fishingjts said:A 275/50/17 will fit on the back no problems what so ever... (that's what I'm running).
