I was heading home and a Dodge Charger was coming up on my other side. Black R/T with the Hemi. As he passed me he didn't look, rev, thumbs up....nada. It's so rare that I see another "New" muscle car on the road and then this guy doesn't even look my way. I think he was scared. Yeah...definately scared.:sterb:

same thing happened when i was cruising in my buddies 05 V6.it was another V6 charger with some kid driving in it.he was flying thru the parking lot leaving a casino and we tailed him until we got to a light and nothing.:sterb:

My sister's father in law just got a new charger, and I find them more luxury than muscle cars. But think about it, for a 4 door sedan, a family car, that thing' got more than enough power. If they really went for just speed, they woulda lost a couple of doors, and a couple of geysers in the front seat. I don't mean to start anything bad, but I always thought the charger was more like a more powerful and better looking cadillac. Please don't shoot me, or tell me I belong in an import forum, but that's just the way I feel. Most people I see with chargers are older men that like a lil boost of power now and then and comfort.

I had a 300 hemi that I tryed to race , I talked to him for three light`s and all HE would say ,was you don`t race me , I did my best to get him to go !
I told him he was just afraid to lose to a Mustang , and still nothing !
Nice guy ,but I think ,he thought he had the fastest car out there:shrug !
That would have made a great race ,win or lose !

lol u guys are funny, thinkin that the charger is a disapointment, i own a charger and i have smoked like 4 or 5 stangs, ill race any of you that dont have too much done to your car....dont get me wrong i like the mustangs, i have owned to of them but i have a family now and need a four door, but my charger is fast, faster then what i expected, so if any of you live in tucson hit me up and lets race......

Kyle F hit the nail on the head. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a Mustang. My SRT will have little trouble with most of the stock 'stangs; especially if said race involves having to turn the steering wheel.

Sorry that you were offended, 2scoops, but your car probably just looks like the last 10 Mustangs he saw.

i race a black srt changer tonight on my way home wit my 01 cobra and the guy was revin and revin at the ligh so when it hit green i want balls to the walls and all he did was sit there and spin like crazy and the next light we hit it was a good race i beat him by a hair

Man where are all these guys comming from with chargers on the forum? I guess the dodge forum is boring. There is a guy here in town that has a black SRT8 charger with 22 inch wheels that wanted to race. I know he has a good 100HP over me, but i think i can take him because of his wheels. Next time i'm at the drag strip i'm putting on my stock 17inchers up front and my M/T streets on the back and ill go up againts him. I've beaten R/Ts, but i think the SRT8 is way faster. In fact, i think they are low 13's stock.

you do have to give props to the SRT 8 tho. 425 hp stock compared to an 05 GT's 300 hp stock. but then there is the power to wieght ratio and i dont know what it is on either cars.

I think its also 15K more to buy the charger. So put 15K into a GT and see what happends.
