Does a 3k mile Coyote sound different at 9k miles?

My guess would be that either the exhaust and/or CAI, and/or Tune is not the same in each vehicle. Did everything in both engine compartments look the same? Did both exhaust systems look the same?

There could also be the variable on how the 2 different vehicles were broken in and taken care of.

I would want to speak to the previous owner of both vehicles if possible before purchasing to avoid any unknowns.

I would say there is a leak somewhere. Even with the sound plugs removed it does not sound like your explaining. The intake sound just gets louder and boomier with plugs removed. It sounds a little fake imo. Outside of just sound how did the cars feel power wise? I will tell you my car definitely feels stronger/looser at 3000 miles versus at 500 miles.

Does the shssshshshshsshssssshhhhh sound definitely sound like an air-rushing sound, as people have assumed? If so, it's intake, or a vacuum leak. Does the car throttle respond the same between the two cars? If so, then it's not a vacuum leak as the leaking car would have different RPMs and throttle response, IMHO.

Yes. Maybe the previous owner replaced the filter inside the stock intake box. Can that affect the sound?

I didn't feel a difference in power between the 9k mileage and 3k mileage car. I test drove a 800 mile 2014 GT and also didn't notice a difference in power. I noticed the "ssshhh" sound was in the 800 mile car too but not as prominent as the 9k GT. Although I didn't drive the cars hard because I didn't want to upset the salesman. I did short pulls in 2nd gear shifting at low RPMs. They all pulled nicely.

Initially I thought it was the transmission because I'm aware of the MT82's reputation but I think it's more likely the intake. The sound isn't a harsh grind but more of a whooshing "ssshh" that's related to acceleration.

I noticed no difference in throttle response between the cars. It was just the difference in sound that concerned me.

Does anyone remember if their motor sounded different at lower miles?
