I have a 2001 mustang and my ebrake doesn't seem to work at all (it's loose). I removed the center consule but there's no screws that would allow me adjust the tension from there. Am I missing something?
Have you checked your lines to the rear brakes? I dont think you can adjust the lines, but Im not 100% on that. The lines start at an opening that is right above the driveshaft (might have to remove the driveshaft to get a better view of it). The main cable is connected to 2 seperate brake lines that are connected to the brakes. If you do not have access to a hydraulic lifter, I would jack up the rear and make sure it is secure with jackstands and jack! Pull the ebrake to see if it is pulling the brake lines and see to it from there!
Anyone else have an easier way to check if the ebrake is working? I might just be telling you the extremely hard way to do it. :shigrin
