For my 88 5.0L i was thinkin of buying a 93 4cyl as a donor, dependin on what the guy says, he doeant really want to part it out, anyways, i was wondering what i can and cannot use? Like i might want his cluster, entire dash possibly, seatbelts and can any of the engine things be used for mine, like i wanna do maf conversion eventually, can i use the 4 cyls maf cpu and wires and everything? And ill probably take his wheels to if he says yah, thing is its only 750, not running but hey i could even practice on that what u guys think? And another question which is the most important probably, we think that my car is a 4 cyl conv, and idk if the cpu is hooked up, working or if there even is one, where do i find it and how do i know if it works, code it?

4cyl and 8cyl CPU are not the same. If your car runs and is fi it has the computer hooked up.
Guage cluster speedo only goes to 85mph so you don't want that either.

Body panels are about the only thing you might take of it if you need them. Wheels will interchange to.

$750 is a lot for a dead 4cyl mustang.

... What are you trying to do? Swap the drivetrain from your '88 into the '93? If so, Why?

I bought a running 4 banger a few years ago for $500 and the only think wrong with it was a unpainted aftermarket hood and some rust behind the rear wheels.

All you can use from the 93 are body panels, interior parts (minus shifter, cluster) and a few random engine bay parts (strut brace, hood light)
$750 is way too much for a non running 4 banger. I would pay $300 if it where me, but you can't even use the stuff you are buying it for, cluster, computer, all that is different. However you could use the needles from the cluster and stuff like that just non of the gears or electronics inside the cluster or the cluster face (with the numbers on it)

Okay sounds good i wont get i then simple haha! I was just wondering, mostly for cosmetic parts, but i went and looked at it and it was pretty bad shape so i dodnt even want to so whatever i can buy pretty much everything i need online anyways, except for cluster, that shits like expensive for the aftermarket ones.. When summer starts rollin around im planning for mass back carpet, paint interior, dash etc, and mainly getting it running properly thats why i was kinda wondering about the cpu.. But ill have to wait n see, car electronics are what scares me the most. :/

YLDPONY - no i just needed some parts for my 88, trim and interior stuff mostly, and i want to get some power doors off one, because mine is a manual, but that 93 i looked at was garbage so, ill just wait for another one to come around lol, or order stuff i need online, brand new is better anyways

Ah, I see. You're just looking for parts to complete your car.

As far as the doors, start advertising! There are quite a few people that want manual doors. If you can find someone with power doors in good condition you can probably just trade.
