Well I tore apart the passange side door to put in the acuator, what a job when trying to keep from having to re-rivet!

Anyway, since I have the panel off, I want to replace the broken door handle. Has any one used nuts and bolts to attach it instead of rivits? I do not have a LARGE RIVET GUN to use!

Yeah, I've used nuts and bolts to secure the outside doorhandle. It will work ok.

You could do it with rivets if you bought the 50resto.com rivet gun. It comes with rivets of all sizes including the door handle size. I bought one and it works fine, plus I have used it on other places in the car: under the rear center console, fuel line brackets, dew wipes, etc.
