Downflow to crossflow radiator

I bought a '80 Mercury Capri 2.3l as daily driver 3 weeks ago. Radiator is downflow type and looks like it has seen better days as the car heats when driving above 55mph or while flooring or idleing for a long time (not overheating, but always going from middle to a bit above L or Normal).

Don't know of any downflow radiators available in my country, but i know at least one crossflow from a V8 is available and in good shape.
Do i need anything to switch to crossflow ? except of course the two upper mounts, lower insulators, different hoses and modifying transmission cooler lines (C3 transmission) ... can't see if the front frame is different from my V8 Pace Car because of the "shroud" between radiator and frame.
