I recently broke my differential on my 2000 v6

I got a used rear axel for like $370 but it was a 7.5 fitment I don't know if I needed a 7.5 or not. If I have an 8.8 driveshaft how would I go about connecting them if it's possible.

It's not to late to cancel the order but I would have to wait for the money to be put back into my account so I'm trying to find away around doing that
