Both my 2002 and 2003 Mustang GT Convertibles have this problem. When driver's side door is in direct sunlight, the power window stops working. Sometimes, it corrects itself, but I have replaced the motor in the 02, only to see the problem reoccur. Now problem is in my 03. The car has cooled down, but the window still does not operate.

Fixed-Self Correcting

Went home at lunch, and problem was fixed. Self-correcting. Obviously, some switch that is sensitive to heat (to protect the motor). Will now avoid all parking with window to sun.
