Well i've heard many people say that it helps to have mufflers because running the exhuast straight out of the headers or straight out of the xpipe causes a loss of low end torque? and several other things and i was wondering if any of you could shed some light on just what produces what and as to whether the claims about actually LOSING power from dumping it straight out of the headers is BS myth or if there is actually anything to it. From personal experience it seems to be i have 2000 GT and my exhaust consist of stock headers down through a prochamber cross over and then dumps about 3 inches behind the front seats and when i took it to dyno the guy that did the testing said he thought it myth aswell because he's never had a car lose power from uncapping it.
