Hello, Holland here:happyhapp

I have a few questions about some modifications about my Stang.
I own a '96 GT for a week now, therefore i drove a V6 Mustang, the V6 was stock but the GT i bought had some mods. on it but i'm not sure what it all does:dunce: (sounds a bit stupid maby) for instance what does a "eaton posi with kevlar clutches??? What is a eaton posi???? ...

Thanks,
Rien..

an eaton post is a limited slip differential. Kevlar is the material the clutch packs inside the differential are made of. They are much stronger than the factory.

Hi Holland

Eaton is the maufacturer of several automotive parts, including superchargers.
The part that you are talking about is a limited slip differential. It controls the traction betwen the left and right wheel.

In case of no traction at one wheel, the clutches "transport" a certain ammount of torue to the one wheel that has traction.
Since there is several styles of limited slip (LS) differential (cone type, clutch type, etc.) Eatons approach is to use kevlar clutches. They are usually longer lastig and offer smooth operation.
