I'm getting a reading of 1v to 3.7v idle to wot. Is this normal for the eforce? I'm curious if the throttle body isn't opening all the way. I researched it myself but come up empty handed, since the eforce has the single blade 85mm throttle body, it's kind of on it's own. Not like changing to a gt500 tb or a bbk.

I read somewhere that anything 3.7 and above is normal. But I've read that it should be 4.5 ish volts. The car runs good the odd idle fluctuations, but not that often. It pulls hard, it's killing me to think that the car might be at 90% instead of 100%:fuming:

The PCM reads two voltage signals from the TPS. One goes from 0-5v and the other goes from 5-0v. In effect the PCM should always be seeing 0v because they cancel each other out. I don't know what is up with your TB but I have not seen any other ones that are sending alternate voltage signals to the PCM.

I'd check into that.

I've been over to the edelbrock site with a reply saying that anything from 3-4v can be considered wot. To me it's been common practice to be at least over 4v.

Ford Electronic Throttle Control

In figure 1 they display throttle percentage. I've been monitoring my % with the aeroforce gauges and my throttle % is from 15% to 75% idle to wot.

With all this info I'm still unsure if my throttle body is opening fully.

Ok I went to the edelbrock forum and they advised me to take off intake hose and get someone to push gas pedal down with key on and check throttle blade position. It was wide open. All is well
