I checked the codes on my 96 gt and the o2 sensor and the EGR error codes came on. Now the tube coming out of the top cylinder part of the EGR tore off at the end i simply did a quick fix and adjusted it to fit back. I found a place where i could get a new EGR for $35.99 but i've heard you can just delete the EGR right off. Now emission test is not a problem cuz i have offroad H-pipes anyway and i konw a guy who will pass inspection for me.

Will the faulty EGR cause any power problems, so far the car is not idling rough at all. I just had my coil packs and wires replaced with MSD's.

Thanks for the advice guys appreciate it.

with eliminating the egr...you will need to calibrate the air/fuel ratio...you might see a lil lean condition otherwise...reason being the egr recirculates the unburnt gases back into the motor...then all of a suden you eliminate it...so you have to have it calibrated for the egr not being there!

EGR can cause some small driveability problems but nothing to really worrie about and if you have access to a turner, you can tune around it...also we sell an EGR delete kit for $12.95 that comes wth a block-off plate, gasket, 2 bolts and a cap for the header bung....deleting the EGR will not make anymore HP but does clean-up the engine bay and slightly lowers under hood temps....
