I was just wondering what differences to expect after installation?
My stock 86' computer needs to be tuned to my motor but before I get it tuned I want to know what this is going to do for me...
My motor is running but its super rich and the idle at stops will surge +/- 100rpm then sometimes +/- 500rpm. Im wondering if removing my EGR will stop some of this or are these all tuning problems?

Sounds like the IAC is bad or your timing is off. EGR shouldn't cause an idle surge or rich mixture.

I had a similar problem once. I cleaned my IAC and the problem was gone.
ok... ill try that and see how it works Thanks

actually since its the only old thing left on my motor im going to replace it, plus I hear its difficult to clean correctly... if that dosent help what then?
Check out the IAC and TPS. Eliminating the EGR shouldn't be too hard once you get it tuned. Basically, in the tune, it'll just turn it off.
