Eibach Sport Line Springs Installed Today

I originally wanted the Pro Kit but, decided to go with the SportLine. I also had an alignment done. The ride is a little bouncy. I probably should get better shocks but, with only 11 months left on my lease I'm not going to bother. Better pics to come!

looks good I think those wheels would look SICK all black with that color for your car.
looks great, but I have to ask, why spend that money on a car you are leasing, with only 11 months left? Are you planning on buying it after the lease is up?
I wanted to lower it 2 years ago when I first got it but, I didn't have the $. 11 months can seem like a long time when you want to get a new car.

You mean like this? :) I love the extremely low stance, but I've screwed up my Roush fascia more than once. The ride is rock solid...I mean, zero dive when you slam the brake pedal, or in full launch.

The only thing I dislike about sportline springs is that the rears aren't as low as the fronts, so you get a noticeable rake. A good compromise is going sportlines in the rear, and pro's in the front, for a more balanced look, something I plan to do..

Did you install a panhard bar or change your stock shocks?

No changes to the suspension other than the springs. But I do have a set of struts/shocks on my future to-do list. :)

I feel like your boss is much lower than my car. But I think its the front bumper that gives it that effect. I would like to go lower

sorry for the small picture

How about camber plates/adjusters or did you just get an alignment?

Is your rear axle centered without using an adjustable panhard bar?

Yes, just an alignment so far. For the past year pretty much this car has gone in a straight line--up and down the freeway to and from work without any track time or even spirited driving on back roads, so I haven't noticed anything. I'm sure the steering geometry needs improvement for spirited driving.

My understanding of the geometry could be mistaken, but I believe the mounted center of the stock two-part driveline actually balances the lowered stance better than with stock springs without adversely affecting the u-joints. If I had a lightweight single driveline I'm sure it would be an issue, but with the stock two-piece?

Looks great what size wheels are those 18's?

What STL is referring to is the rear centered form side to side. When you lower the car with a panhard bar system it will move to the side the panhard bar is attached to the rear.
The offset of the rear to alow the U-joint to rotate the needle bearing in not affected by lowering

Yup, those are 18's.

Oh, right...so the left side could be lower than the right due to the 3-point setup. Hmm. That's a very good point. I haven't noticed any excessive tire wear so far but this is good advice that I'll look into.

Can a PH bar be installed with jack stands? Thanks.
I lowered mine with the Steeda sport springs. It moved the rear end over about 1/4 inch and messed up the camber on the front end. The front end looks like a NASCAR set up. I fixed the rear end and I'm now going to buy camber plates ( I'm not sure whats the best Maximum motorsports, Steeda or something else) and install new struts and shocks( which I should have done while replacing the springs. Duh!)

No not lower on one side, it moves the rear to the right side depending on the car a 1/4" or so. Yes you can install a ph bar on jack stands. Thats what I did. You might have to push the body over to get the bolt in.
Take the old Panhard Bar out, lay it on the floor, put the new Panhard Bar next to it and line up the bolt holes by putting the bolt through the old bar and into the new. That way the bars are even and the new one will go right in. Make the adjustment after the new one is installed.

How can you measure only 1/4" of movement of the rearend?

Revision of my earlier statement... I jacked it up and took a peek, and noticed some wear on the inside of the front tires. I take this as a sign of negative camber. If I install camber plates, would I be able to adjust it without getting under the car? Thanks.
