Any idea what is wrong
I have a 2007 GT
Filled the gas tank Thursday night and when i started the car up the engine check light came on
Drove home took the gas cap off and retighten it light still on
Friday night disconnected the battery and hooked it back up engine check light off
Drove all day Saturday and everything was ok
Sunday started the car up to go away and engine check light came on
So i also noticed the idle on the car was around 1,000 rpm
This past winter i installed a x pipe from ford and a oil separator(LOWES)
I posted this on thursday on the mustang tech form and stalwagon responded to me to take the car to auto zone and have the code read
So i reinstaled the factory tube from the valve cover to the intake started the car up to leave and noticed the idle was back down to about 700-800 rpm.
Went to auto zone and they read the codes and it came up all 4 of my oxygen sensors were lean so he erased the codes now the light is still off
Thanks
Ron

You haven't tune the car have you? Any mods besides the X? Are the cats still on the car?
Hi
Stalwagon
Only mods are
Roush cold air intake and Ford performance Xpipe
Came across a reply from you to someone else with a lowes oil separator and you said maybe a vacuum leak
Went out and checked my oil separator and the drain valve at the bottom is a one way valve.
I tried to blow into the bottle and air would not pass through valve
but if i draw a vacuum air will pass through the valve
so took the valve apart and filled the hole with silicone gasket
Put the valve back together and it does not leak
Will have to put it back on the car and see what happines
Do i need to change the tune for this mod
Thanks again

The X-pipe just replaces the H? Cats are still there?
yes cats are still their
Sounds like a possible vacuum leak. That will cause the high idle and lean running condition.
Agree... It's got to be either the separator or the connections.
it's just a vacuum leak...carefull getting on it when you have a vacuum leak cause car feels like it has more power cause your running leak and you will blow some thing up!!!!!!!! carefull
