engine conversion

i have just bought a 1994 5.o ho engine, im in australia and need to find out about the ecu. the one i have has the numbers W3D but our books here don't show that code. the codes that are shown say that they run the mass air meter. my question to anyone who can help me is , is this ecu going to work ok on that engine and with a AOD auto and do i need to run a mass air meter. i only need to power the injectors and distributor auto no other accessories will be used.
