bad brad, i don't believe the 3.8L is adjustable.....you can get a chip that is set up with a few degree's of advance....i believe you can buy a timing adjuster for it, which tricks the crank trigger and you may get away with that.....
First thing's i would do though, is change out that fuel, and fuel filter, then i would take your maf out, and clean the maf electronic's with some electrical contact cleaner (nothing other then contact cleaner) and see what happen's
