I have an 84 mustang gt350, Ive built it up a little bit, then I spun a rod bearing, i want to know if there are any carburated sbf motors that will bolt right up and fit right in with my 5-speed, without much modifactions. What year of motor, what cubic inch of motor, type of car or motor am i looking for

if you get a injected 5.0 you can remove the injection and run your intake and distributor, as far as a 351w it will bolt up to your mounts and trans, the 351 is wider so the exhaust will be a issue? big G:scratchchin

I actually got my crate motor from advanced auto parts. Came with everything except intake and pulleys. I did do some upgrades to get a little bit more power, but it was fairly cheap and easy.

any 5.0 will swap in and bolt up to your tranny...

i would recommend going with a roller motor...

You could put in just about any engine you want, even a big block. To have the easiest swap, you would go with a 5.0 engine and that way you don't have to get anything special. You could also do the 351 but you'll need a swap kit to let it be a drop in. The kit will have the specific headers and oil pan you need, then you'll need 351 brackets, distributor, intake, and then you'll be rolling.
