Hey guys! I currently have a 289 V8 in my 1966 mustang. I am looking at getting a bigger engine to put in. I was looking at a 302 or a 347. Does anyone know if I were to go with the 347 would I need to change anything in the engine bay such as motor mounts? I've read that with the 302 nothing needs to be changed but am not sure with the 347. If anyone could help that would be great!

347 should just be a stroker kit in a 302. The 302 and 289 blocks are near identical so the mounts won't need to be changed up.

Or did you mean a 351? they'll fit as well but it's pretty cozy.

331 and 347 are both just stroked 302s and have the same deck height as a 289. Either would fit fine. If you change the motor mounts to energy suspension be advised that the engine might sit a bit higher than with the old OEM mounts. I put a late model 302 in mine and it dropped in fine.
