My son and I just bought a 1984 5.0 Mustang with a blown engine.
In the garage we have a 1990 5.0 HO Engine.
What we are hoping is take the intake and carb off the 84 and install it on the HO and all the other hardware then install the motor in the 84. Would that work. It sounds to simple to be true.

Yes it will and you'll get a nice little power gain too. Swap and go, it really is that simple.

Right on. Thanks for the info.. Now I just need to find out if the intake and carb are campadable, as far as smog goes. I know its a Holley double pumper with a Edelbrock manifold. The car will be here tomorrow and Ill find out exactly what it has.. Thanks again...
