Hey all i was on the road yesterday while my car turned off or stalled. it is standard but it is very hard and impossible to stall while rolling so something happened. i noticed it first wen my brakes started being hard to press then i looked at the dash and saw that my battery sign came on. Wat could have happened? i put it in neutral and turned it back on while rolling in a turn. i know this is not safe so what could be the problem?

Haven't had this happen to the stang---and these are all just suggestions from things I have had go wrong but It could be fuel or Vaccum related. I had a merc with a vaccum leak, hose was burned into and it would just flutter and die. EGR Valve went out on my interceptor and shut things down. Also if it was running then dying outright with no flutter---then starting back up a bit it could be the alt. Let me know what you figure out. Best of luck.

Most likely if the battery light came on it was the alternator. Could be a bad battery but im betting alternator.

Thats what i was thinking as well guys. i did not flutter before it shut off it just died. the battery light did pop up so it is not a vacuum leak or something with egr. I was thinking the alternator as well because that would be the best cause as why it turned off

I had the alternator, starter, and battery tested today. and the battery was fine and the alternator had 13.73 volts with car on. does that seem a little low? also we couldnt catch the voltage twice but when we did it seemed ok

This is beyond my expertise. If battery starter and alternator are fine it could be a loose ground wire, a bad relay, I dont know. Definitely something electric. You're going to have to get somone with a little more know how than me. Sorry bro. :smoke:
