That's a hard question because not only about the shop that'll paint it but also the paint you choose. There's so many types of paint and styles to choose from, you'll have to narrow it down.

I agree..the brand of paint is the most imp. thing. ppg is what I have always used. dupont is also good, just dont go to a local auto parts store and pick up paint. it may look good for 6 months or so, Im painting mine the 07 silver, and in the vents, all through the doors, where it got the body line, im putting black in there, somewhat like the new cobra R, most of those are grabber orange though, I thought about orange, but I get pulled over enough!!lol.. how many dents is in the car? any rust other than surface rust?cracked ground effects or bumpers? I would do it for about 600.00, whatever color ya want.If there are few and small dents.Any shop will hit ya for at least 1200.00 on a GOOD paint job, or maco can put hardley any paint and lots of thinner, and again, it will look good for 6 months or so for 250.00, rember you get what ya pay for.

You're looking at about 5,000-7,000 to (proberly) change the color of the car and straighten out the body od small dents abd stuff.

Good paint's not cheap

usally a good rule of thumb is about $500 a panel, for regular colors and some metalics , the briter the color the more it cost due to the pigments they use. Candy's,pearls and shimrons the sky is the limit, if you want to save money due your own prepwork and when your ready for paint take of as much as you can (lights, door panels, trim) and the most important is make sure they a reputable shop

The estimates I've gotten to change the body color of my '91 convertible from red to black "start" at over $3,000.00. Plus, no body shop wants to do it. The usual stories go: "Painting an entire car is too hard, sob sob." & "I make more from insurance work."

A complete change over costs the most, everything will have to be disassembled and that's what will cost the most, all the labor.

I'm not changing colors on mine, but the guy told me he would strip the car, repair damage, block sand it,paint it ,clear it twice, and buff it out for $2400.00(+damage repair cost ).Generaly speaking, time+material (and or parts)=cost. How far do you want to go?:ausge446:

here is what I did. I talked to some people I know and they were saying anywhere from 7k to 10k. I didn't have much rust(one bad hole) and no dents but it was gray with a black stripe. I had it painted blue with a white stripe. I found a guy who painted it. cut the hole for the air cleaner, mounted the hoodscoop, did the door jams and under the hood on the inner fenderwalls, and took the moldings off and cut them up a little to not put them back on but make them match the bumper to the body. he charged me 1300. I found him on craigslist. him and his brother have a shop about 40 miles away from me and they dont have much over head so they pass on the deal to the customer. it was a gamble giving my car to a guy I didn't know but ended up being well worth it. now I told him it was a driver and not a show car and I got a driver paint job so it isn't perfect but looks real nice. good luck
