I have no experience with this torque arm, but I certainly recommend them after having a gobal west ''arm'' on my 1992 mustang. Traction is dramaticly improved from a standing start and the rear end dosnt squat on take off, it simply moves forward, almost looks like the rear end is lifting slightly. Best improvement for a mustang, imo.
Evolution Torque Arm
Lakewood Industries displayed their suspension products at SEMA which included the Evolution TQ Arm that supposed to increase downforce on the rear tires.
1. Anyone have experience with a TQ Arm?
2. Did it improve straight line traction?

What exactly is the "arm"? Is it the LCA? The torque arm attaches to diff. cover, runs along side the drive shaft up to an attachment point which could be the inner two seat belt bolts. Front pivot point allows the rear end to move freely, but improves traction greatly imo.:bigthumbsup

In a nutshell, yes. It can replace the upper control arm and improves leverage on the rear axle because it moves the pivot point up to the middle of the car instead of only 24" or so from the rear axle. Because it mounts solidly to the axle housing it completely eliminates windup and the resulting wheelhop.
For the S197 chassis I doubt it would provide as profound an effect as it does for the Fox and older chassis.
Will it replace the loading and unloading clunk I get from the Steeda adjustable UCA and bracket? I also understand that the TQ arm may require some exhaust modification. If the TQ arm was quieter and improved traction and didn't require modification of my SW exhaust, I would do it. I will see what info the vendor can give me.
