How does one do away with the exhaust rotators? Are retainers with a taller installed height an option or are new valves required?
The rotators were incorporated for a good reason
ford engineers decided it would protect the valves
from hot spots and keeps the stems from warping do
to the heat they are subject to. In stock trim they
work good.

Yeah I know in stock form they are pretty good. But I have seen them fail with stiff springs and RPM. If I was staying stock I would keep them but I'm going to a pretty hot street set up nothing crazy but I don't trust 30 year old rotators.

They sell rotator eliminators at summit racing
I don't know if you can use them or not. It
might be possible to shim the springs to take
up the difference in thickness of the rotators.
