exhaust blows smoke

Well today I noticed my car was smoking a lot more than usual , it's white smoke but smells like gas and oil ..*
Threw a*P135*code on bank 2 sensor 1 , so I warranted out my aftermarket*Bosch sensors*( needed longer ones for long tubes ) well test drove it and still smokes , and smells like gas .. any ideas ? No codes this time ..*
It smokes on start up , and when I give it gas.. can't really tell while driving, but I can smell oil or gas in cabin ..*

Any ideas ? Car does have a email tune from MPT , and full exhuast no cats , no exhaust leaks.

BTW I've been through 2 sets of O2 sensors since my long tube install ..
coolant level fine , oil has no discoloration, plugs are new, it sometimes smokes on start up im thinking bad valve seals ..

Well, for the gas smell its going to be somethin you cant really change.. no cats.. have you told mpt that your vehicle does not have cats or that it is possibly running rich? Did mpt supply you with a handheld tuner like an sct tuner which you can read data off your car? And white smoke is typically fuel left in the cylinder and blue smoke is oil, someone correct me on that. I get those two mixed up all the time. Hopefully someone else tunes in to this and posts something that will help more so!

I Bought A Used X3 and got the tune from them.
It never really smoked this much before .. it did before but that was when my Upstream O2 sensors went bad. I'm hoping it's just burning off the un burnt fuel from earlier before I replaced the O2s again.

Excessive white smoke indicates burning water.. but it can also be the colder temperatures fooling you.
With no cats on the car it's hard to tell.. they usually clean up most of it when they are on. Assuming it is indeed running rich check all the basics. Spark plugs(spark plug gaps) ignition, vaccum leaks, properly working fuel injectors, fuel pressure, and do not forget to pick up a bottle of MAF cleaner and follow the directions on it to clean your MAF sensor.

Check your water and oil for signs of a bad head gasket( mixed oil & water= milky brown thick fluid). A pressure check can let you know if you have bad piston rings or bad valve seals.. which can result in burning oil.
I had experience with burning antifreeze, this is how I could tell the difference. If you take off and see the white smoke and it disappears as it rises it is just hot air/exhaust smoke, if you take off and the white smoke stays solid as it rises and does not disappear then that is water/antifreeze, this is in the cold weather. Warm weather the exhaust smoke should clear real quick, the water smoke will still stay solid for a bit, you should be able to see solid smoke in your mirror for awhile if it is water burning.

Im no expert, this was just my experience with a blow head gasket/warped head.

Well I noticed it smells more like oil now , and it's smoking on every start up quite a bit ..
I know I recently went to a thinner oil 5w20 syn. Would that affect anything ? Should I go higher ?
I was low on oil as well.. I'm going to monitor my oil level everyday and see how much it drops
5w20? How many miles? After about 100,00 miles I would upgrade to 10w30. 20,000-100,000 id do 5w30. I even put 10w40 in my gt. High mileage mind you. Im sure the oil is fine but it probably is slipping through things it isnt suppose to. In my opinion though
I agree with 6stang02. Try putting a thicker oil on it. The thicker it is the more difficult it is for it to leak through bad rings or seals.

Blue smoke is an indication of oil burning. An engine
that smokes after start up and then dissipates
is usually bad valve seals. Another way to tell if
water is getting into the combustion chambers is
to start the car and let it warm up to burn off any
condensation in the pipes then put you hand about
2 in from the exhaust pipe for about 30 sec and if
your hand becomes wet then water is leaking in.
If your seals are bad then a higher viscosity oil
will slow the leak down some but it is no cure.
