Explorer intake swap

Doesn't look to hard to find an explorer upper and lower on ebay for cheap. So I'm wondering if anything else (fuel rails) need to be changed out in order to bolt on the new upper and lower?

Funny you should ask!! I just did installed an upper/lower on mine and it pretty much just bolts right in....with a few minor modifications.....
You'll probably have to change a couple of vacuum connections underneath the upper intake. I had to.
Also, you'll need to upgrade your throttle body to at least a 65mm. I believe the stock Explorer is either 60 or 65mm. The stock Mustang one is 55mm I think. While you're at it, you might want to upgrade your MAF to 73mm or more. (see my mod list). That'll get that air flowing!! Excellent mod. My intake was ported and I gained about 25 more hp. NOw I need to upgrade my heads and headers and I'll be all set!

Here's a thread I had made when I started the install and kept you posted on my progress! Hope it helps ya. :bigthumbsup
