Does anyone know a way to make the throttle body off a 2002 Explorer 5.0 work on a 88LX 5.0?? I held it up to it today and it looks to me like the throttle linkage is backwards.I got lucky and got the intake at pull-a-part for 35 bucks elbow and all. New to this so any help would be appriciated, Thanks.

You need to grind off the section holding the linkage on, and flip it around. Some people drill and tap the shaft so it can be put back on with a machine screw i just threw a quick tac weld at it. Seemed to work fine for me.

Okay, I think I got that, but what about the EGR valve?? Can I delete it or adjust mine to the spacer off the Explorer? They are way different. None of the pollution stuff is hooked up on mine, it's all there for now but not hooked up.
