so i have a 1bbl holley 1946 on my 200 inline six.
im going to go 2 bbl.
i need the adapter for that space, and a 2bbl carb at 390 cfm.
where can i find that exact adapter.
and will the vacuum lines i have running to the 1bbl just fit right on the 2bbl i will get.
im not sure what 2bbl will be suitable??:scratchchin:headscratch:
thanks

I wouldn't do that if I were you. I would just get a pony carbs 1 barrel carburetor. They fixed any problems the original autolite carbs had. Plus, I had thought about putting a 2 barrel on my straight six, but most of the companies said that they leaked gas badly, and that it wasn't worth it in the long run. Alot of online reviews backed up what they said. Check out a mustang parts store, or see if pony carbs has a website. Apparentely, their new 1 barrel carburetor is amazing.

Pony Carb's has upgraded the Autolite 1100 using an annular fuel discharge system similar to the Autolite 2100 and 4100 carbs. I've been thinking about getting one myself, but they're pretty expensive and I've been hoping to hear from folks who have already made the switch. Here's the link to Pony Carb's webpage:

Carburetor, Carburetors, Carbs, Carb Parts. Pony Carburetors - Your Ford Carburetor Restoration and Part Sales Specialist

I know Clifford Performance and Stovebolt each have their own adapters for 2bbl carb upgrades. Also, these guys (below) know a whole lot about this kind of upgrade and the different ways you can do it:

Ford Six Performance: The Web's Leading Resource for Ford Inline Six-Cylinder Engines and Cars!

Good luck!
