Feedback on headers and stock exhaust please!!!!

Hey fellas. Just have a real quick question. I have a '68 Mustang with a 302 out of a '72. I bought the motor off of a guy who had done some inside work to the motor. Bigger pistons, cam etc. But when he sold it to me, he wanted the headers for his other project car. The only thing I had were stock 302 manifolds. I had just got my car re painted and just wanted to drive it. So I put the stock manifolds on it and had my exhaust pipes made for it. I'm wanting to do headers now that I have more time, and I was just wondering if there were any headers out there that I could put on it where I wouldn't have to go have two more exhaust pipes bent and have to buy new mufflers. Just a quick swap if possible. Thanks a lot guys!

I dont think so as most headers have a 3" collector(ball or flange) even shorties have a 3" ball style Vs: the stock style using donut gaskets but maybe someone else might have more information for you.
I agree with silver69. I suspect you can retain the existing mufflers and most of the pipes, but you would need new transition pieces between the headers and pipes. Maybe something like this with a custom made adapter pipe:

Ain't no quick swap, with what you're asking. There will be fabrication.
Good Luck....
A good muffler shop can do the job.
