I have purchased a Ford 4,6 litre DOHC crate engine and an automatic transmission with model number 4R70V
What is the correct ECM computer for this setup?

Does any body have the part number for the ECM computer that i need?

Hi there!

I have installed an harness from www.thedetailzone.com

The car run, but it change gear little stange and the engine dont run perfect and so on.....
The problem is that the engine dealer here in Sweden sold me an ECM box that is made for 4R75V transmission.

I will be happy to purchase the correct ECM box from you if possible.

One dealer on Ebay told me following:

There are three different possible ECM's depending on which exact setup you
have. The part numbers are:
F6ZF-JC. F6ZF-JD. F6ZF-JE.

those ECM part #'s are for a 1996 & 1997 Mustangs wth a manual trans....the ONLY Mustangs that came wth a DOHC and an automatic trans from the factory we're 2003 & 2004 Mach 1's...so it sounds like you need the ECM and engine harness for them,

I tried to send you an PM, but i was not allowed to do so....
The 4R70V transmission is coming from an 2002 GT.
Is it really possible to have this transmission work with this engine?
I dont need any new harness, the harness i have its made up for me and it seems to be correct.

none of the #'s you posted as they are all for a 4.6 DOHC wth manual transmissions, you'll need an ECM from a 2003/2004 Mach 1 wth a DOHC and an automatic transmission
The ECM i have is brand new and made for a Mach 1, 2003/2004.
But it dont "talk" with my 4R70V transmission.

OES THIS
Following is printed on the ECM:
MPC-14D
SYM2
EEC-V
4R3A-12A650-SC S/N: 02NC3UB7DLXZ
EE0FA 4D14B

Does this tell you anything?

Vanheden:

I found the following info in the FAQ at EECTuning.org:

Strategy = RYBE1 and Calibration = QUD2 for a 2003 Cobra 4.6L 4V with 4R70W transmission. This *should* be what you use.

The EEC that you have uses SYM2 calibration and uses FBFG2 strategy. This appears to be for a 2004 4.6L 2V with a manual transmission. ***PLEASE NOTE: I am not a Ford parts guy! I am just posting the info that I have found on-line from a reputable tuning board. ***

What to do??

I suggest that you contact the FRPP hotline guys. They should be able to help you with the crate motor questions. Here's their contact information:
