Hi all,

First post here, although have been a reader for a while. I recently bought a 2003 Mustang GT 4.6 V8 Automatic.

It has close to 75,000 miles on it. Sometimes when I accelerate it feels a little slow to pick up (although it had great power) - Was wondering if a full tune up is worth the money?

Also, I want to slowly add to the car. I am saving up the money and don't know what is the first modification to make without saving up for years. (as far as performance) .. If an exhaust is recommended, I do not wish to have it sound really loud, just ad HP.

Where is the best place to buy inexpensive/reliable to purchase equipment?

Thanks all.

First things first, whenever buying a use car, I ALWAYS get a tune up.

Secondly, skip the bs, save your money for suspension and a supercharger.

All said and done, by the time you save enough to get decent power, you would have saved enough to buy a new mustang.

Gears/Tuner/Midpipe/Plenum/LCAs/Springs/Shocks/Struts/CC Plates/SFCs....you will have a pretty fun car after that is done.

If you want to skip all that and a get supercharger, that would be great too!

What is your budget and overall goal for the car?

EDIT: To answer your first question...Yes, do a tune up. Spark plugs, coolant flush, tranny fluid change, seafoam, fuel filter, etc...
