I was picked out of a crowd of 5 cars doing 83 in a 65. It was bound to happen sooner or later. I am just glad that I can take defensive driving......again.
Moral of the story, never buy a bicycle!:bigthumbsup
PS. If he can't catch you, he can't give you a ticket? Nah, don't break he law and he couldn't give you a ticket? NAY! Don't get caught? YAY! Sorry, I had to...
Back in 2005 after finally getting my Mustang GT (waited five and a half months from order to delivery) I made a trip south into Arkansas and got stuck behind another veh on a two lane. This vehicle would first speed up then slow down so as we started up a hill with a passing lane I stepped on the gas passing the car in front of me and a slow moving truck almost at the end of the passing lane at the crest of a hill. Well as I pulled in in front of the truck I noticed a 35 MPH sign out of the corner of my eye. Just after letting off the gas I saw a county officer facing me up ahead on the shoulder with his radar gun pointed right at me. Big belly sheriff, yes with mirrored sun glasses chased me down and gave me my first driving award. The embarasing part was getting ticketed for going 55 in a 35. I would have felt better if I would have been going much faster. ;Not much to brag about.
When I got my 2010 GT, I had a similar experience. I was in morning traffic and the guy in front of me on a multilane freeway was really making me mad, so I whipped around him not realizing my speed. It was 89 in a 60. Yikes! Thankful for a good Attorney to keep this one off my record!
That sucks...now...but you may want to frame that ticket. I saw an episode of Overhaulin' were the guy had a car from new and got a ticket with it the first day. The family had Foose incorporate the ticket into the build. They were pretty proud of it. It's all how you look at it I guess. Sorry, just trying to make light of it a little. Don't mean to tick you off. It does suck to get caught.
