Did you beat the Camero ?
I lost by a little at the top end, maybe .002 of a sec. That ok no tickets.
I raced him 3 times and came real close on the last one.The crowd liked it. I need more power that is for sure, xpipe maybe not sure.

More Mods sounds good. Better reaction times will help too.

Maybe soon I can get some Kooks long tube headers or start building the motor from bottom up.Not sure what I want to do at this point. I do have a 100,000 mile 6yr warranty.

get some rear suspension to drop that 60ft down to 1.7-1.8

Basic mods...

1. CAI and a tuner. Get a decent combo, from just about anywhere reputable. With this alone, you will leave the Camaro in the dust. About $600.

2. Upper and lower control arms are available for about $300 and take an easy afternoon to install. I think everything is the same size socket too! These will stop/reduce wheel hop.

3. Tires tires tires. Get some inexpensive, aluminum 16x9 wheels and have some DOT approved (so you can drive with them on the car, to the track) drag tires mounted. It is said that every 0.1 second you take off your 60 foot time equals about 0.2 off your ET. Drag tires will get you into the 1.6-1.9 times, so you'd go from 14.4 to about 13.4 but your MPH will not change! Frustrating but you will win more races. This is about $600 for tires and wheels.

4. Gears. 3.73 or 4.10 gears. Will also reduce 60' times a lot by letting your engine turn the tires more easily. About $100 for the gears $450 to install.

5. Reduce your Reaction Time! Keep in mind this will not affect your other stats. The only advantage is that you will cross the line earlier in the race.

For example, you have an RT of 0.09 and you run 14.0 @ 100MPH.
The guy next to you has an RT of 1.09 and also runs a 14.0 @ 100MPH.

You cross the line a full second (15 Mustang lengths) before he does!!! Because you left the line and started the timer before he did.

In other words, you can have a better RT and beat a faster car! With an identical car, the batle will be for RT and shifts and whatnot. Driver skill and experience will make almost 100% of the difference. Remember THE GUY WHO CROSSES THE LINE FIRST WINS.

3. I am confused ,I have 17 inch stock pirrelies now.Do you want me to go downin size?

Practice practice practice.

I too went to the track today. My best time last time was 13.7. Today I hit 13.4 with nothing else changed. Even the weather was about the same. I started by lowering my air pressure in the rear tires to 20psi. Then I worked on not spinning the tires at launch. Today I went 14.3, 13.9, 13.7, 13.5 and finally 13.4. So before you get crazy with mods get the best times you can out of the car with what it has. Im still not gonna get any new parts until I hit 13.3 because I know I can with what I have. Once I get 13.3 Im gonna get Underdrive pulleys and exhaust then work on getting a 12.9 - 13.2 on the stock tires. I gotta hurry because hot weather is coming and I know Im gonna slow down in the heat. Good luck and isnt racing just invigorating? Its a better feeling then being drunk in my opinion.

PS. Some kid had an 06 with just a FRPP x pipe and went 13.3! His is a freak I guess. In Motor Trend they had a shootout between a stock gt, a N/A Steeda and N/A Saleen and the stock GT ran a 13.5!
