I'm thinking about buying my first Mustang, I'm sixteen it will be my first car and have a couple questions to ask. The mustang is a 66 it has 92,000 miles. It had one owner, a little old lady who kept all the receipts for repairs and maintenance, it is in a pretty good condition but may need window replacement a couple interior repairs. My mom and I took it to a car repair business that we trust. He thought the car was in very good condition, but felt that the car would be better for someone that was only intersted in restoring the car and not some one who would drive it everyday. He thought that in a year things would start costing money. I would like to also work on the car as well as drive it to school and work. I was wondering from the perspective of other mustang owners is it worth the money. does owning a mustang outway the cost of fixing it up? Are parts hard to find? are they expensive? I would really appreciate any advice, right now I'm driving my moms van!

Welcome aboard... Doesn't sound too bad. The gang in the Classic Mustang section can give you some things to look for. Big ones are the floor pan (rust) and cowl leak (leak).

Hiya, welcome to the site. Just because it's an older model doesn't mean it'll all of a sudden start rotting and costing money. With proper maintenance, it shouldn't give you too much trouble.
