So I have a 2002 Mustang, and when I bought the car a couple months back, I noticed that the turn signals were flickering faster than usual. I assumed it was that I needed to change the bulb. However a short while after, I noticed that my hazards flicker at a normal speed. So it got me confused. Any other causes for turn signals to flicker fast while my hazards flicker normally?

How about the fast blink is a function of low current draw. When the hazards are on, then all of the bulbs are on. Where as with the turn signals, only one side is on. Therefore when a bulb is out, it represents a larger percentage of the current draw.

Don't over think this. Why not start out with a walk around your car to see if there are any bulbs out and go from there?
