Flowmaster High Flow Muffler Inlet/Outlet Pipes

1838 4
I bought a Flowmaster high flow muffler for my 3.8 but when I went to install it I noticed that the stock muffler is welded to a piece that connects to the headers on one end and on the other end goes all the way to the end of the exhaust. The Flowmaster on the other hand is just the muffler itself without any other parts on it.
In other words I cant just swap out the mufflers without having the two pieces that connect to the stock muffler seperatly and installing them with the flowmaster.
Does anyone know where I can get these two parts???

In the case of my 06 Mustang, the muffler shop welds to rods to each side of the new muffler in the place of the bracket that you are talking about. Most aftermarket mufflers will require some tweaking and add-ons to make them work right. Hope this helps

Are your pipes rusted through, or something? I don't understand the problem . ..

I don't think he realizes that he needs to weld the mufflers into the stock pipes...

Take your car and mufflers to a muffler shop...ask them to swap out the stock mufflers with ur flowmasters...they will cut the old one's out...weld in the new ones...and give you the old ones just in case you want them for something like a paperweight...bases for the street kick ball game...canteens...stepping stones in your garden...very hard throw pillows...anything you want really
Youre right, I didnt realize that. Thanks for the info, Ill do just that.
