I have a 1966 v8 mustang and I'm looking to put on dual exhaust and I'm wondering if I will need to get a new lower valance (gt cutouts) if I add Flowmaster Super 44 exhaust or will the straight valance work just fine?

I have been ordering through Mustang Unlimited, is there any issue with add the 44's onto my '66?

I have the super 40. Sounds great. As for install, doesn't matter. I bought the gt valance, but seem people just left the pipes under the valance. Looks good either way.

I got dual with flowmasters and kept the original valence. The pipes are incognito so you can't see them :). It appears that the people who put them on put them on backwards though. Do people do this for more backpressure or was it a mistake that I need to get fixed??

You don't want backpressure; that defeats the purpose of performance exhaust (not that Flowmaster falls into that category). I thought you had straight through glasspacks? Some people reverse those so the flow is with the direction of the internal louvers (makes it louder and less resistance) rather than against the flow of the internal louvers.

Your Flowmasters should be installed in the proper direction though.

They have an arrow that says "to engine" and its pointed towards the back so its not on right I guess. I thought u needed some backpressure or you lose power?

I like the look of the straight valance, so I will stick with that and tuck them underneath. I'm going to install the stainless set, anyone use a source besides Mustang Unlimited and find a quality product for less?

You want velocity, not back pressure. Velocity allows for the exhaust gasses to exit the combustion chamber faster, which is exactly the opposite of what back pressure allows.
