I would like your advice on whether I should just install some flowmaster mufflers on my stock '91 LX or put a full catback. The headers and mid-pipe are stock for now but I intend to change that in the near future. For now I just want a deep growl, at least louder than stock.
Seriously, if budget is an issue. look at DYNOMAX ULTRA FLOW MUFFLERS. More HP/Tq and better sound IMO. But I am one that doesnt like the usual FLOWMASTERS SOUND
I used to like Flowmasters, and I had a set of 2 chambers on my ride. I got soooo tired of the drone between 2200-2400 rpm, just dam annoying. I would explore other options, but any way you go, get the full cat back. The full cat back offers mandrel bends for better performance and nicer than stock tips. Some terms I've heard Flowmasters called: chokemasters, slowmasters, crapmasters. Sorry but there is better options these days for that mean muscle car sound we all love.

Thank you all indeed! I will look into getting a full catback. I still need to research some audio clips though before I decide which brand to go with. As what I hear, Dynomax must have an aggressive tone so i'll have to look into those.
