Followed ins, yet unable to access power window motor in my 1998 Mustang

I have a 98 mustang. My power window on passenger side is kind of dead. It rolled down and now it won't go back up. I read the forum and was able to remove the door panel. However, I still don't see how I could access the motor?

I tried to manual push the window up, but the window seems to be stuck hard. I checked the motor power and it seems to swing from +12V to -12V when I hit window up and window down button accordingly.

The bolts in the picture connect to the white car body. They seem to be holding the motor and window levers in place. But I don't see how I could get to the other side (space between door, where the motor actually sits). Kindly advise.

I would be glad to be able to simply push the window up for good. Better if I can replace the motor if needed. TIA.

right there where the motor is at, those three access hole there's 3 bolts or rivets holding the motor in place. if its rivets, drill them out and replace them with bolts when reinstalling the motor again. if the motor is still running, you may just need the 3 little bushings that strip out in the motor. auto part stores sell them for about $9.00.

Hi, you have to get the window rolled up some, then you'll have room to get a hand to were the motor is. You might be able to help raise the window manually while using the switch. If you hear the motor running it is just the plastic bushings that need replacing.
They pretty much covered it.
hmm... no luck yet. i do see the three bolts (as seen in the picture).

i am afraid, if i unscrew the three bolts, then the part they hold might fall off behind the white panel.... in the space inbetween.

both mine nor my sisters "slim" hands are able to reach the motor. i tried to manually lift the window glass, by pulling up from underneath, but it is'nt budging. when i hit the up/down window switch, there is absolutely no motion/sound from the motor.

is there any special way to manually lift the window? am i missing something? if the three bolts will let loose the motor, there must be some way to reach it and remove it, right?

the 3 bolts you have pictured are the ones holding the motor to the regulator. those are the ones that need to be removed. You may want to call a repair shop or a dealer to see if they have a trick to get the window up.
I've never messed with a "newer" 'Stang, but here goes:

If that little motor is locked up then the window won't move. Gear on rack. First loosen the nuts and then the window can be pushed up.
