I was checking out the new Ford Fusion on the Ford website. The Fusion is using a key that has everything from the Key Fob built in. Anybody know if we could use these on our 05 + Mustangs?

Will not work.
Looks like the same key blank with Securilock and remote. Why won't it work? have you confirmed this with a technically adept dealer?

I stopped following this thread, but I'm pretty sure they concluded it won't work, and someone tried it somewhat (I think they didn't actually cut the key). Too bad, it would be nice to lose that 80s looking FOB.

Thanks for the link. I read thru all 8 pages. Doesn't sound promising, but the keys are on backorder thru February. Maybe they will try again. Maybe I will just superglue my fob onto my key. :happyhapp

DOH!! Didnt realize you had posted this in both forums or I wouldn't have made my answer quite as lengthy in the other thread.

I wasn't quite sure of which one to post it in. It was probably more of a tech question, but it got more response in the lounge. I think I liked it when the forums where together, but I understand the separation.

I read that thread and it looks more like one person couldn't get it to work. There is still hope!!
