I know that the actuator has gone out but after a lot of research I have decided that no one ever has any luck with theirs so if I take out the actuator would the locks work if i turn the key to lock it or push the knob down? I do not like putting up with the actuator.

Yeah, you can either remove the actuators or cut the rods that run up to the door locks. Either way should do it. Good luck!:bigthumbsup

thanks for the info! all the threads i saw about the actuators just said how to replace it but id rather not mess with those. now im goin out to fix it!
