I made a custom enclosure which is down in the spare well. I also have the amp in there. I was looking to hide all the stuff so I didn't have to worry about getting it stolen.
Mine is only a 10", I could have went bigger, the volume math works out, I just figured 10" was enough.
Oh, by the way, when I get on it, I can't hear the stereo.:hihi:
In 1992 I spent $1600 on a system for my car at the time. Oh if I had only invested that money in the right stocks at that time!
I pride myself on adding a brand new Kenwood system with four speakers for 300 buck. Has "full" sound. Not the best system by any stretch but sounds good in a car driven so little.
My days of blowing big money on car stereos are way behind me. Lol
I did cave and bought a portable XM radio that my wife likes in her car.
If I lived in they city an expensive aftermarket stereo is that last thing I would install...
