Anybody ever worry about water sitting in the channel where the glass meets the rear hatch? - The other night I was getting something out of the rear of the car I lifted the hatch - When i shut it there was water on the glass. It came from that channel. The cobra had been sitting in the garage covered for about a week. As always _ I'll take the cobra out for a day, come back home wash it up and park it int the garage.

I ended up blowing the channel out with my air tank but wow was it alot. and dirty too. Any worries here? Anything we can do? I heard it rust fromt he inside out? Should I POR-15 the inside of the hatch. I HATE rust. I dont say that very often if not at all. But, I do I dispise it.

SO what ya think?

I had the same problem with my hatch. In the bottom of the hatch in the passenger side corner i had rust starting and it eventully started spreading all along the seal of the window. Before i got the chance to fix it, luckily (in a rather un-lucky way) i got slightly rear ended at a stop light and got enough from insurance to pay for new paint and all body work. The rust was taken care of and the body guy told me that water just builds up under the trim piece and will start to rust it out. He put a light bead of water proof silicone under the trim so the water had no were to sit. That should take care of it :bigthumbsup
