I have a base model V6, and was wondering if I bought the GT front bumper cover would it just bolt on in its place?

Would I need to buy the lower valence and the bumper cover for this to work? Plus the bumper cover bracket??

I like the look of the CDC chin spoiler on a GT front end but looking at the service manual, it might be more money than I am willing to spend to get that look on a V6.

Wish I had a GT and a V6 i could get under to look myself at how a V6 lower valence and bumper cover brackets would align with the GT bumper cover. Anyone tried to just swap the bumper covers alone?

I'd suggest taking a look at the Roush front bumper. Easier to install, better lookin & cheaper alternative.

Just changing it over to the GT the Roush is twice as expensive, but even after all I did I still came in cheaper going GT/CS.

My V6 with the GT/CS front end with the Boss Splitter.

I'd agree it looks better but I don't see how it works out cheaper. My prepainted Roush bumper cost around $1400 by the time I added the GT grille surround, fog lamps, splitter, and bille grille. Granted you could skip all the add-ons grille but isn't just a painted Roush bumper with fogs like $900?

Assuming you re-use your V6 grill and already have factory fogs, you are looking at $750+ to convert the front end. I've priced it out myself and am thinking of doing it but somewhat still on the fence as I am appreciating the rarity of my MCA/PP combo and not sure if I want to take that away from the front. PLus I think the V6 front is starting to look a bit better than the GT/CS/BOSS look.

Hey siber express, that GT/CS bumper conversion with the Boss splitters looks IMPRESSIVE! Awesome job! Maybe this might be a project I might get into later down the road as well. But I woulda used that cash on some engine/exhaust upgrades.
