O.K.............I know this is a volatile subject, but here goes. I have an 88 Vert with no front clip. I have found a guy selling a front clip from an 84.........is it impossible? Or can it be done. Wouldn't consider it if the 84 was in one piece but he has parted it out........

anythings possible. i think there are some people on here who have done it. i dont know about going to the 4eyed, but ive heard of people getting rid of the 4eyed.

I've done just the reverse, I have an 83 with an 88 front clip on it. Swapped out the old carbed motor for an 88 EFI as well, complete interiror, wiring etc. Basically everything that the 88 had I put into my 83, sometimes a little modification is required but for the most part everything swapped out fine.

It would be less expensive and easier to just find the correct parts. You're in for a lot of work and a lot of parts, and paint, to get it all done.
