Fuel injector question, will missing/broken pintle caps be a problem?

Hi, I have a question about fuel injectors. Today I was going to put my injectors back in from changing intake gaskets on my 94GT and noticed my plastic caps on the bottom of my injectors are broken and a couple were missing. I called my local parts store and they said I have to buy new injectors. Can I run them without the caps or does anyone know where I can buy them. Thanks

Where are the missing caps? Hope they're not in the engine.

The caps aren't in the engine I blew out the ports when the intake was off
Yes, you can replace the pintles. The engine will run without them but those missing them or the broken ones can affect the spray pattern, causing a less efficient atomization.
ebay usually has some good deals.
you should be able get the pintle caps and seals from the parts store.
