So, I just did a ton of work to my 66 convertible. I replaced the fuel pump. added a new fuel filter, new rubber hose from the fuel pump to the carb and added a 600cfm edelbrock carb. NOW, when we start the car it will run for a few seconds, then stall out. We pulled the hose off of the inline filter and there was barely any fuel at all coming out of the line. SO, what else could it be? A bad fuel sending unit sock? Junk in the main fuel line? Where should I go next? Thanks guys!

Adjust the mixture screws in while its running until it starts to die out one at a time then back it out a full turn. Do that for each side then set the idle to where its 500 - 900 rpm while in gear. Have a friend hold the brake or just adjust it and then put it in gear yourself. Either way don't stand in front of the car in case it goes forward. Then adjust your timing to 12 d. with the vacuum advance hose unplugged and the vacuum port plugged. If your timing is off you may have to check your idle again and run it up or down.
