My Mustang a 1988 5.0 HO, died about a year and half ago, its been sitting ever since. When she died, I lost all power to the fuel pump, and it "felt" like the timing jumped. I started last Friday on getting her back on the road, new Timing set, plugs and wires, and I'm now attempting to find the cause of the power failure. I have replaced three relays and I am able to get 35 to 46 pounds of fuel into the rail when I hit the pump with direct power from the battery, but it still just turns without firing. I have made sure I have good spark and everything on the ignition end is good. My last alternative is to replace the computer, but this is a costly move, and even worse if this doesn't fix the issue. If anyone has an idea of where to go next, I would be eternally in your debt, and Ill have my kids wash your car for the next decade. Thanks in advance. Mike

What you could do is have the PCM checked to make sure it's alright. That's the only way to make sure it's not the problem.
