car was in ft. end accident and fuel pump not coming on. cant find cause where should i look. i can get it started but seconds after i stop cranking it dies that when i realized i didnt here the fuel pump. i tried adding starter fluid through the intake and kept it running for about 15 seconds 89 5.0

Man, I can't believe nobody answered this. Open the hatch, there will be a little rubber plug (about the size of a quarter) in front of the driver side taillight. Pop it off, reach in with your finger and find the little button. Push down on it. It should click. That should get the fuel flowing again.

That button is an inertia switch. In the event of an impact, it shuts off the fuel pump. You can rap on it with a hammer, and get it to open the circuit.
